Research Fellow (Ref:  6071)

Salary: Up to =A329,138 per annum
(subject to qualifications and experience)

We are seeking a Research Fellow to work on an EPSRC-funded project =
`Error-Control Watermarking' for a period of up to 30 months.
The goal of the project is to study applications of Error-Control Coding =
in Robust Watermarking, including the design of improved
Watermarking Systems using established Coding techniques, and the =
development of a mathematical model for the Coding problem in
Robust Watermarking.

The project is part of the growing group on Watermarking and Multimedia =
Security within the Department. =20

You should have a PhD in a relevant discipline, such as computer =
science, mathematics, or electronic engineering. Sound programming
skills are essential.  The project involves different areas of research, =
including watermarking, image processing, error-correcting
codes, or communications.  Prior knowledge of at least one of these =
areas is desirable, with a willingness to learn the other areas.

Starting date: 1 August 2007 or as soon as possible thereafter.
