10th International Conference on Information Technology, Rourkela, India, 17-20 December 2007.
Call For Papers
ICIT (International Conference on Information Technology) is a premier international conference for high quality research in the
area of Information Technology. ICIT 2007 is being jointly organized by the Orissa Information Technology Society
(http://www.oits.org) and the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (http://www.nitrkl.ac.in) to be held at Rourkela, India
from 17-20 December 2007. Researchers and practitioners from academia and industry are invited to present their research findings on
various topics related to Information Technology and its Applications.
CONFERENCE THEME: Multi-core systems and programming
CONFERENCE TRACKS: ICIT encourages submissions in all the areas of information technology. However, the papers in the following
tracks will be the primary focus this year. The submissions in each track could be on any of the topics listed, but are not limited
to them.
Architecture and Programming Systems:
Multi-cores, memory hierarchy, multiprocessor synchronization and debugging, concurrent programming, OS virtualization modeling and
simulation, load balancing and partitioning, compiler techniques, application specific systems, hardware design, electronic design
automation
Databases and Bioinformatics:
Data warehousing, data mining, feature extraction, computational biology, modeling and visualization of biological data
Wireless and On-chip Networks:
Wireless ad-hoc networks, sensor networks, network security, network-on-a-chip
Software Engineering and Industry Applications:
Software architecture, requirements engineering, human-computer interface, software testing, embedded and real time software, web
technologies, IT services
Web Technology:
Web services, search engine design, page ranking algorithms, web-page prediction, ontology, agent technology, crawler design
PAPER SUBMISSION: Papers reporting high quality original and unpublished research, case studies and implementations are solicited
for this conference. The papers need to be submitted online through the conference website (http://www.easychair.org/ICIT2007/). The
page-limit is 6 pages. All submitted papers will undergo double-blind review by a strong team of reviewers and program committee
members consisting of leading researchers around the globe. Papers longer than 6 pages or disclosing the identity of the authors
will be discarded. All accepted papers will be printed in the conference proceedings provided that at least one author registers for
the conference.

BEST PAPER AWARDS: The Amiya K. Pujari Award will be conferred on the Best Paper of the conference; the Narayan Misra Award on the
best paper from Orissa; and one best student paper will be selected from the papers with students as the leading authors. The awards
carry a cash prize and a citation.
FELLOWSHIPS: The Steering Committee will award a limited number of fellowships to students based on need and merit, to partially
cover expenses of attendees from India. Applications must be submitted before the fellowship application deadline using the
conference website.
