[WM]: queries on watermark

We are the final year student of ECE, UVCE, Bangalore,India doing a project on the topic 'Digital Watermarking' using Discrete
Wavelet Transform-Singular Value Decomposition (DWT-SVD).We require your help to clarify some of our doubts
How to apply attacks on watermarked image using Matlab software?
Is there any other software available for doing the above?
Can 'imread' command be used to retrieve completely the stored jpeg image (which is stored using 'imwrite' command)?
Could you kindly answer our queries or suggest us some reference for the above questions.
