[WM]: CfP: Information Hiding 2007 [plaintext]

Dear Colleagues,

Sorry for the double posting, but it seems that there has been a problem =
with my previous email. Hence a plaintext version of the
call for paper below.

Teddy furon and Gwena=EBl Do=EBrr
General co-chairs of Information Hiding 2007

Call for paper:

For many years, Information Hiding has captured the imagination of =
researchers. Digital watermarking and steganography tools are
used to address digital rights management, protect information, and =
conceal secrets. From an investigators perspective, information
hiding provides an interesting challenge for digital forensic =
investigations and steganalysis techniques allows hidden information
to be discovered.=20
These are but a small number of related topics and issues. Current =
research themes include:

* Anonymous communications,
* Low probability of intercept communications,
* Information hiding aspects of privacy,
* Digital forensics,

* Covert / subliminal channels,
* Steganographic techniques,
* Steganalysis,

* Watermarking algorithms and applications,
* Security aspects in watermarking,
* Watermarking in the encrypted domain.

Continuing a successful series that brought together these closely =
linked research areas, the 9th edition of Information Hiding will
be held in Saint-Malo (France), from Monday 11th June to Wednesday 13th =
June 2007.

Instructions for authors:

Interested parties are invited to submit novel papers on research and =
practice which are related to the above areas of interest.
Claims about information hiding technology, such as robustness or =
steganographic security, must be backed by strong evidence in the
paper (such as mathematical proofs, statistical modelling or extensive =
testing).
Submissions must not substantially overlap papers that have been =
published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal or a
conference with proceedings. Submissions should follow the Springer =
Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) format and should be no
more than 15 pages including the bibliography and well-marked =
appendices.=20
Accepted papers will appear in the proceedings published by Springer in =
the LNCS series. The submitted papers should be anonymized
avoiding obvious references. Authors can submit their manuscripts =
on-line on the conference website where detailed instructions are
provided. Submissions received after the submission deadline or failing =
to conform to the guidelines risk rejection without
consideration of their merits. Where possible, all further =
communications to authors will be via email.
Questions regarding the conference should be directed to the generic =
email address ih07@lis.inpg.fr.

Important dates:

* Paper submission starts: December 1, 2006
* Paper submission ends: February 9, 2007
