[WM]: PSIVT'06 - Paper Submission site is available
IEEE Pacific-Rim Symposium on Image and Video Technology
PSIVT'06
Hsinchu (Taiwan), December 11-13, 2006
Online Submission is Available
http://psivt2006.ee.nthu.edu.tw/index.php
This new symposium will provide a forum for presenting and exploring the newest research and development in image and video
technology by discussing the possibilities and directions in this field, a place where both academic research and industrial
activities are presented and meet for mutual benefit. The symposium combines a conference with an exhibition (showing the latest
products in image and video technology), and offers also tutorials, a show of digital art, demonstrations, and tours to industrial
sites.
The symposium will bring together technical issues, theory and practice, artistic and consumer innovations, and invites researchers,
artists, developers, educators, performers, and practitioners of image and video technology from the Pacific Rim and around the
world. There will be PSIVT best paper awards for submitted conference papers, and a PSIVT Innovation Prize and special recognitions
for products shown at the exhibition. The conference program will include plenary talks and sessions of technical presentations of
reviewed papers. The conference proceedings will be published by Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS).
The organizers of PSIVT'06 cordially invite prospective authors to submit papers to the following main themes of PSIVT (or related
subjects in image or video technology):
1. Sensor technologies (e.g., digital still image or video cameras,
frame and line cameras, panoramic imaging, stereo cameras, omni-directional cameras, cameras and GPS, cameras and IMU, laser range
finders)
2. Visualization (e.g., interaction between graphics and vision, high
resolution medical imaging, 3D cinema, visualization centers, and related applications to large-scale visualizations)
3. Image analysis (e.g., high-resolution images and impacts on
processing strategies, applications of large-scale images, biomedical
imaging)
4. 3D scene modeling (in computer vision, remote sensing and
photogrammetry; e.g., integrated solutions based on new sensor technologies, also including SAR or ultrasonic measurements)
5. Intelligent vision applications (e.g., intelligent transportation
systems, video surveillance, navigation, etc.)
6. Panoramic imaging and distributed video systems (e.g.,
visualization, 3D vision, panoramic animations, multi-modal interfaces)
7. Multimedia compression and transmission (image/video compression,
error resilient video coding, video error concealment, joint source/channel coding, very low-bit-rate video coding, video streaming
over wireless/wired networks, etc.)
8. Multimedia signal processing (image and video watermarking,
steganalysis, steganography, multimedia content analysis, multimedia feature extraction, content-based retrieval, etc.)
The conference proceedings will be published by Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). Deadlines for PSIVT 2006
conference submissions are as follows.
Submission of an 10-page full paper (LNCS format): 15 July 2006 Notification of acceptance : 15 August 2006 Registration of at least
one co-author per accepted paper : 15 September
2006
Final 10-page camera ready manuscript :15 September 2006
