Re: [WM]: What is different bewteen watermarking and steganography
The summery can be as follows:
1- In Steganography hidden data is matter of importance and the carrier is not. In watermarking the carrier is matter of importance
and data is just for some verifications.
2- Since in steganography hidden data is important so capacity (amount of message that can be embedded in carrier) and security
(undetectability against visual and statistical attacks ) are important and robustness is no= t (there is some robust steganographic
method too). In Watermarking since the carrier is important and we just want to embed a mark into carrier so don't care (most often)
about its security and capacity but robustness against removal attacks is important.
OK ?
