Re: [WM]: What is different bewteen watermarking and steganography

hi Huynh,

Watermarking primarly deals with image authentication where as Steganography deals with hiding data.

In the case of watermarking a balance between perceptual Quality of the image and Robustness is maintained. Contrain in
maintaining image quality tend to reduce the capacity of information embedded.

As the application of steganography is different, which deals covert message transfer, importance of capacity is more compared to
robustness and image quality. So embedding of algorithms of Watermarking is different from steganography.

  Hi everyone,

I am confusing about the terminology "watermarking" and "steganography". Could you help me to classify these terminology. What is
different bewteen watermarking and steganography?

I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you very much
