[WM]: help me regarding to benchmarks?

i'm quite new in this watermarking technique and analysis
  my question is regarding to the benchmark such as optimark, stirmark, and checkmark. 
  1. i would like to know what is the use and specialty of those kind of benchmark in watermarking.
  2. if we perform attacks such as median filtering, and resizing by using other software such as irfanview.is it the same attack
perform by those benchmarks that i mentioned above.
  3. i've download stirmark and optimark but still doesnt know how to use it. pls somebody teach me step by step how to use it. i
hope somebody pls tell me if there is any simple benchmark program.
  4. i've done watermarking using jpeg image. can that jpeg image use in those benchmarks software.
