RE: [WM]: visible watermark

Hello all,

My problem is similar to that of Clarice. I am trying to implement a dynamic watermark of the purchase information into my e-book.
The idea is to sue the original buyer in case of unauthorized distribution.

My pages consist of .gif images that include my cursive handwriting. Paypal sends the Instant payment notification to my server, the
code extracts the name, now I would like to watermark each .gif image with the name of the buyer. What would be possible ways to
accomplish this operation? I can create the ebook with a command line compiler after the watermarking.

How effective do you think this type of watermarking will be? Would it deter unauthorized distribution or am i wasting my time by
adding this feature to my e-book? I would appreaciate your feedback.

In addition, if anyone can direct me to a paper on how much content OCRs can recover from cursive handwriting, I would be grateful.
In particular, how much effective can cursive handwriting be on preventing unauthorized content extraction? I am using
www.vletter.com custom handwriting fonts, I am not typing my ebook by hand, than scanning it :-)

Your friend,

Bond, J.
