1) Can you tell me how to select best optimal algorithm for implementing watermarking.



A) There isn't a definite answer to this question. Generally algorithms based on Quantization schemes

    Are  considered superior to Additive methods like SS. As you are a beginner .Download Ndeljko Cvejic's

   Thesis and read it. It contains a good overview of all the methods.

2) On what basis i can decide best algo to be used.Or if you know any best algo which is best suited for watermark implementation
then please tell me about it.



A)    As you are doing it for academic purpose and you being a beginner
go for a SS based algorithm. As a B Tech

Project you can implement I.J.Cox 's Algorithm .



 3) As i stated before i have in mind of using Haar Transformation algorithm. I have found some research paper on it stating the use
of this particular algo for watermarking.



But i do not understand on what basis i can say that this particular algo is gud for watermarking



A)      Refer to the section of Paper which list the results. Generally
such sections come at the end of the paper.





 4) one thing more i would like to know that using MATLAB tool for solving mathematical equation is a gud practice. If yes then also
tell me where i can find this tool is it free or licencesed. Give me a link where i can find this tool to download.





A) Matlab is pretty easy to learn and most of your lecturers may have experience with it. May be your college has a

  Copy of MATLAB. MATLAB is a product of Mathworks Inc., and comes with a hefty price tag . You can get a student version for
Rs.6,000/- or so.
