[WM]: question about echo hiding

Dear all
I've studied echo hiding for a time. I can hide about 31bits information in one second audio sampled at 8000Hz.And having the host
audio pass 40db awgn channel, I can recover the secrete information with error bit ratio less than 0.01.

However, the hiding effect is audible.

I wonder how many bits can be hid per second using echo hiding algorithm on the condition of inaudible and robust, for example ebr <
1e-2 after A-law lossy codeing?

Thanks a lot.
