[WM]: some matlab programming problem

Hi dear watermarkers:
      Now, my study interest is Audio Digital WaterMarking.When i implement a algorithm with matlab, i meet a problem.
      The problem is about a normal Matlab function : wavread and wavwrite. 
As i wavread a Audio siginal, like this : [wav_data, FS, BITS] = wavread('input.wav'), then i just do: wavwrite(wav_data, FS,
'output.wav'). But the confusing is i find the 'output.wav' in my hard disk become twice larger than 'input.wav'. Why? Some
gentleman is kind to explain for me. Thanks advance.
