Re: [WM]: definition of template
The two definitions you've found appear to be identical. In the first definition, the template is used for synchronization. In the
second, it is used to detect temporal and geometric distortions. Of course the reason you do that is so you can compensate for them
in the watermark detection process, i.e.
synchronization.
