[WM]: Normalized Correlation problems

Hi~ everyoneˇG

I have two questions about "Normalized Correlation".

first
A watermark is extracted from a watermark algorithm, and correlation-based system measures the existence of extracted = watermark by
using original watermark.
The correlation threshold will use in the detection process.

In correlation based system , is the difference of watermarking = algorithm relevant to the computing the false positive
probability? Is = the correlation threshold only relevant to the watermark length ?

second
Assume that there are two kinds of watermark , the one is a 1, -1 = sequence, another is a real number sequence

Can i set the same threshold for the two sequence? If it's NO , is the watermark threshold relevant to the sequence type?

thanks a lot.

Jacky
