[WM]: embedding higher payload

HI,
 
I tried doing embedding using E_DIRTYPAPER and then decode the message back. I succedded in embeding a bit and decode back. But the
algorithm helps in getting a extracted vector from the original image which is vo [64] and then produce a reference pattern
according to the message. 
 
In the decoding section I saw that the algorthim gets the extrated vector from the watermarked image which is again 64 in length and
then tries to find correlation between the random pattern generated and the extracted vector.
 
I tried to embed 1 bit in each 8x8 block using the same procedure but found little difficult in the process. Because the algorithm
relies on finding a random pattern which is closely correlated with the extracted vector. Since the extracted vector is 64 in length
I dont know how I can possibly embed higher pay load of bits into it.
 
Can any one help me in doing embedding process for lager payload of data.
