[WM]: modelling impact of media changes on watermark/data ?

watermarkers,

One of the things that define the robustness of the watermark is that,
It should be preserved upon multiple generation of format/media changes
in addition to several *zillion* types of attacks possible.
That sidekicks all ideas relating to header manipulation, so all we got
to manipulate is the data(which most current watermark technologies do).
It doesn't matter what domain we are really embedded/detecting our
watermark (spatial/transform/or block transform domain).

** Have any of you come across studies/papers which deal with effect on
data due to format changes (maybe different media) ? Well modelling the
degradation of watermark/data due to format/media changes ?
** What about embedding/detecting in different domains ?
