[WM]: Multidimensional Lattices

Hello,
 
Currently I am reading the following paper "A Robust Data Hiding Technique using Multidimensional Lattices", I can't clearly
understand the "Lattice coding" algorithm.
 
Can anybody give me some more detail information about "lattice coding", especially "D4 lattice coding" ?
