Hello,

I tried the use of a compounder to equalize the pdf before SCS in =
"Applied public key steganography", SPIE Electronic Imaging
2002. Researchers from Digimarc presented a paper related to this issue =
this year in SPIE Electronic Imaging. I don't remember the
paper's title.

But, the best improvement is definitely the use of vector quantization =
by Chou, Pradhan and Ramchandran like Treillis Coded
Quantization.
