[WM]: on anonymous fingerprinting (using commiments)

 =20

Dear = watermarkers,

In Coin-based Anonymous Fingerprinting (by B. Pfitmann and = A. Sadeghi), how to assure the Buyer B commits the emb=3D(is,i) correctly?  (Anyway, the merchant = doesn't know the content and he could not verify it and how to trace the illegal buyer if the buyer doesn't commit and embed the = corresponding "emb" correctly?)

(I'm not so good at the = cryptographic protocol, so please excuse me if my  question is too naive.)

In some = asymmetric or anonymous fingerprinting protocols using commitment, the verification of the content in the commitment is usually = done in secure 2-party protocols or by some other third parties(because the merchant couldnt see the content of the = commitment, he could not do the verification). But I think they are not so practical to realize. So, I think, there is a long way to go = for the anonymous fingerprinting protocol to be practical.

Am I = right? And does some one can give me some advice?

Your help is highly = appreciated!

sincerely yours

yan
